Another British Columbia guy that just signed up.

As my user name says I'm a Honda guy, I have owned several over the years. Right now my DD is an 05 RSX Type S. I also just finished a 3 year reno on a 65 Cooper, this will not be converted but I am very interested in what you guys are doing.

I can't think of anything more I would enjoy than a Honda powered mini. So I'm just going to hang around, ask silly questions, get a handle on the techno stuff and build some confidence.

Great looking site BTW.

Welcome, Terry! Our bubbles are all a bit shy of centered, but we like it that way! I went from 998 to 1380 to 1800. My diary is here on the site, so check it out. Before I jumped into this, the deepest I'd gotten was the 998-1380 swap, then changing the head on the 1380. I couldn't have done any of it without the hand-holding and help of some good friends and the guys @ MiniTec, who did all the wiring, the A/C and some other stuff that I could have done but it was easier while they had the car in their shop. ("Veruca" is in their website gallery). You have to eat this elephant one bite at a time, but the results are a blast.
So hang around and enjoy.

Welcome, with a little bit of confidence and some tools, you can build this in your backyard like I did....here are some random progress pix.....enjoy!!!! the pix are not in the correct order, but im sure you guys can figure it out......

Thanks for the welcoming you guys! I've got a few tools and just enough determination to pull off another project.......just a little burned out from the last effort. Had to weld in floors and a whole bunch of other stuff to get the 65 done, so for now I'm just gonna watch and learn as much as I can......til the bug bites me hard. Just a few pics of my last project.

I guess I'll never be a purist..........my Cooper now has a Metro 1300 and a few other things that make the purists grind. I really like the idea of Honda power and a 5 or 6 speed. I'm kinda spoiled driving an Acura. :roll:

First thing I gotta find is the right mini to start out with, I'm so sick of RUST. So the search is on.
