I got the first of my carbon panels this week, a boot lid, and put it on the car. It weighs less than a pound and replaces the 13 pound steel lid. I am very happy with the fit and quality, for a change. note the USA license plate fitment. The steel latch-handle weighed twice as much as the whole boot lid, so I chopped the handle off and made up a little 1 ounce job from a piece of scrap aluminum, and broached some gilmer style grooves in it, for grip, using a parting tool in the lathe. Only took about half an hour.

Looks like great fitment. Is that a roquesevens piece? Can I ask how much?

The door knob opens the door, of course. Might make one that looks like a wind-up key for a kid's toy though.

That wind-up key would be a nice touch. Might be something else to add to your product list!!

Yes, it is from Jim. he is doing my roof at present, then doors, and maybe seats too, then start all over again on panels for our chopped mini sprint project. We might even do molds to make 10" wheels, and possibly carbon intake manifolds.
