I just got done fixing all of my rust problems on the pans and in the boot. I am not a fantastic welder, so I am considering covering everything (underbody, interior floors, and boot) in a diy bedliner. This would cover up my not so great welding, protect everything from water, and maybe help a little with sound. What are you thoughts on this?

this is the stuff im gonna use on my car
i got two 1 gal cans of it
i coated my front subframe with this stuff and then painted over it with a high temp paint
and i plan to do the undersides of the wings and what not
mini's have leaked water from the get go, so anything that will help them not rust is a good thing

That was my thought as well. I will post some pictures when i get mine done. i did the underbody over the weekend. I am still contemplating the interior. I may do something like this first then coat over the top of this.

I am a bit worried about the sound levels inside the car. I plan on not reinstalling carpet, so I need some sort of dampening to keep the levels to a min.

Well i ordered the spectrum from second skin. That should be in before the end of the week. I coated the underbody, boot, and wheel wells last weekend. It came out better then i expected. I will try and post some before and after pictures. My only complaint is its a little shinnier then i had hoped, but i guess with a little dirt it will dull out.
