Just got home tonight from an all day run with my partner Kirk. Drove about 230 miles, visiting some of Kirks camping buddies, (retired top execs from Honda America) These guys know stuff about Hondas that nobody else knows! along with some funny and amazing stories too. Got the Gold Seal aproval on our conversion.
We checked the Odometer calibration and fuel economy cruising at 4,000 RPM most of the trip; looks like I got over 35 MPG. still have not checked the timing yet; my light quit working; time for a more modern one anyway, that doesn't have to be stuck between the plug and lead with the springy thingy. Looks like it might get 40 MPG with better gearing.
Surprised a kid on the freeway in an Evo. Had to back out around 100MPH so KR wouldn't have a Cardio. Kid came buy with thumbs up and disappeared ahead in the traffic. :mryellow:
Got our pictures taken about 10 times by other drivers with tiny cameras poking out their windows. Must have looked funny seeing to old geezers with acoustic ear protection muffs on, zipping down the highway in a tiny clown car. :P
Got some major buzzing vibrations to track down, otherwise a great day with no issues.
Cheers
